The South

To say that Antarctica is like an alien world is an understatement.  It is truly a photographer's dream: golden hour lasts half the day, the wildlife is friendlier than most people's dogs, and the ice makes incredible formations that are constantly changing.  Below the Antarctic Convergence, the freezing water and multiple major currents that flow around the continent make for incredible productivity that allow hundreds of thousands of penguins, elephant seals, albatross, and more to congregate.
